I am open for business! Er… I mean my blog is.
I know, I know. I’m not a big-star blogger and my blog is hardly in the top-bloggers lists, BUT I would love to have some guest-bloggers over. I might as well name the puppy and call it Friday Features. So if we come to an agreement, I’ll add your post under the Features page, which means that every time someone clicks on it (and I’ll make sure it’s a lot), the odds will favor your post. And I’ll leave this offer open for a while until the day I get tired of it, which I don't expect to happen soon.
But wait! There’s a catch. (Of course there is.)
I’m not really looking for yet more articles about writing. I can do those myself, TYVM. Though if they’re super cool, I might re-consider and eat my own words (which happens a lot). What I am looking for, however, are creative posts about things that interest me, and therefore might interest my followers. And let me tell you, I am interested in a LOT of things. You might have figured that out just by looking at the Archive page. And while you can pretty much see the areas that interest me on there, there’s more. So I’ll just go ahead and list the topics that tickle me below.
Psychology (of all kinds), crime, horror, MOVIES and reviews, flash fiction pieces, blogging (duh), Photoshop, NEW AGE and spirituality, random facts, Astrology, Photography, ART and creativity, quotes, social media, Publishing (any kind), writing competitions, humor (all shades), MUSIC (yours or not), screenwriting, funny lists, travelling, TRUE STORIES, etc. etc. etc.
(I can go on forever you know.)
Of course you can surprise me too! I love surprises.
However, I can’t promise I’ll like everything you throw my way. I don’t like to be mean and say no to people but if what you suggest doesn’t fit in with my style as it were, I might have to say no. And by my style, I don’t mean funny-haha-crazy stalk-o-blogging, but rather something that has an original spin to it, YOURS. Alternatively, if I like the subject, I might suggest a spin to what you offer and if you agree to do it, it’s on baby!
What I offer in return is:
1. Adding a brief intro and contact info by me on top;
2. Featuring your post on the Features page;
3. Adding your blog to my new Feature Blogroll;
4. Regular tweets about your post;
5. Guest-blogging at your place if you want me to;
6. Spell-checking (I’d DIE before I let a typo crawl into my sacred space);
7. Loving (and stalking) you eternally. :D
Also, I’ll try to tweet about your post more than I do my own. See, I generally abhor tweeting more than 4 times about the same post for no reason; I like to give my followers and readers a chance to pick for themselves. But I’ll gladly do it if it’s someone else’s post. And obviously, I’ll break my own rule here because this is an on-going offer and I’ll faitfully bug your asses until you come round to check this out and come begging me for a guest spot. Well sure, I AM glamorous, everybody wants to be on my blog. (NOT)
Unfortunately, I do not advertise on Facebook BUT I am frequently blogging and there’s always a chance for some poor lost soul to stumble upon my blog, and therefore your post, while looking for their way back to… Kansas. Or, I mean… whatever. Lol.
